What’s Tumblr’s Year in Review? It’s that special time of year when we show off the blogs, posts, and topics that made Tumblr’s hearts explode with joy in 2015 A.D.

How did we get the goods? We spent several weeks sorting through hundreds of lists pulled by a program that showed us the cold, hard numbers on the millions of different Tumblrs with billions of posts and quadrillions of notes on them. We analyzed web traffic, follower growth, and so much more. Then we sorted all the winners into a bunch of different categories, had too much lasagna, cried a little, fell in love….then wrapped up the finished product into a neat little package, and shipped it off to this Tumblr right here. Phew.

This is our way of saying, hey, thanks for making this place great. Our Year in Review is a celebration of all of your hard work, fun times, and cool brains.
