What to Know

Critics Consensus

Christopher Robin may not equal A.A. Milne's stories -- or their animated Disney adaptations -- but it should prove sweet enough for audiences seeking a little childhood magic.

Dale R After growing up, Christopher Robin must rediscover his childhood. I love me some Winnie the Pooh and this movie did not disappoint. The 100 acre wood gang is well written here. The CGI designs for the characters, in my humble opinion, are exactly what I would expect real life living stuffed animals would look like. However the movie ends up being mediocre due to the bland writing for the human characters, including Christopher Robin, played by Ewan McGregor. The rediscovering of your childhood message is also hammered home a little too obviously for me. There is enough good stuff here to recommend a viewing, especially if you are a Winnie the Pooh fan. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Audience Member The first half is the best disney's product I ever watched, then the second half it's more like the cartoon.I loved Ewan McGregor's acting. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Juan Pablo P It's good, Disney's best live action movie, the story is mature but still entertaining Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review Justice T Solid gold. One of my all time favorites. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Koi P This movie is so well done. The writing is excellent. I loved that the stuffed animals looked lovingly worn. I smiled, laughed, and teared up. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review J C Honestly a great film. Didn't know what to expect as I usually hate these realistic remakes, but being a grown up who watched Winnie the Pooh as a child, this really hit me in the gut. Excellent acting as well! I'd recommend, anyone who says it's boring is totally missing the point! This isn't an action movie by any means, but it is a charming feel good film that really does have some nice underlying messages. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
