Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint Bird laces in subliminal messages, but the main attraction of Incredibles 2 is the focussed storytelling, the clear and uncluttered animation and unadulterated fun. Jul 29, 2019 Full Review Robert Daniels 812filmreviews Brad Bird's Incredibles 2, while a solid follow up, lacks a clear vision of where to take the story next. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 27, 2018 Full Review Adam Kempenaar Filmspotting What thrilled me the most ... watching these characters do the thing they were born to do [and] fully be themselves instead of repressing something fundamental about themselves. Rated: 4/5 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson Incredibles 2 may not pack the usual signature “Pixar Punch” that sends stock in Kleenex skyrocketing, but the movie’s themes are formulated with deft wit, proper prudence, and enough meaningful magic. Rated: 4/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast The superhero genre has come a long way since the original in 2004... yet it is a credit to Brad Bird’s script and filmmaking style that Incredibles 2 feels like the perfect superhero movie for this particular time. Pixar’s best sequel since Toy Story 2 Rated: 5/5 Nov 10, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's everything we've waited for and wanted in a follow-up to Bird's 2004 original, instantly making the fourteen-year interim seem like a blip in animation history. Michael Almost as good as the first. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/23 Full Review Erin M so much fun. the whole family loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/22 Full Review Jack S Adults may appreciate the exciting action sequences in this otherwise uninspired and rather talky follow-up. But let’s face it, Incredibles 2 is simply too long, too complicated and too violent for the little ones (as well as for many discerning grown-ups). Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review Dale R Mrs. Incredible is hired by a billionaire philanthropist to promote superhero work in order to legalize superheroes once again. The story here is well told and the family does get times to shine, though the focus is on Mrs. Incredible. The villain is weak, but that is really my only complaint. Michael Giacchino returns as the score composer and makes this sound like an Incredibles movie. The voice acting is great and on par with the first installment. The animation also maintains the look and feel from the first movie. Highly recommended movie, go check it out. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Dane D Incredibles 2 is a get step down from the first film, due to the recycled ideas and poor development of characters. If look past all that, the movie is still decent. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Jack N Somehow lives up to the prequel, despite being ten years later. Some things never change.
