A Chipmunk Christmas is the official soundtrack for the special. A number of the tracks in the soundtrack contain narration from special guest star Santa Claus. The soundtrack was later re-released in 1993 on cassette and CD with the same listing.

Trivia[]

• The LP version of the album included a 16-page book insert under the same name.
• "Wonderful Day" is heard in the special but not within the soundtrack album, however, the song's later included on the CD that comes with the 2012 re-release of the Christmas With The Chipmunks DVD.
• "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "Crashcup's Christmas," and "Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane)" are included within the album but are not heard in the special.

Reception[]

The album was certified Gold by the CRIA on October 1, 1982^[1] and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Recording for Children in 1982^[2]
