Simon and Theodore peek out of a record folder offering to help catch the piggy-bank thief. Meanwhile Alvin, who is watching TV, is hesitant to help until his two younger brothers give him a lift and carry him into the room. The boys join ALF and Garfield in the hallway where they hear the bank being broken. After in Michael's room, they hide under the bed as they watch him remove the money from his little sister's bank. His sister, Corey, confronts him during which he slides a box under his bed. Simon deduces from the smell that the box contains marijuana, "an unlawful substance used to experience artificial highs." Alvin convinces everyone that Michael needs their help. The Chipmunks sing along with the other characters when they sing to Michael of the many ways to say no. The boys are last seen in an image above Michael's bed.

Trivia[]

  • The special premiered internationally (US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico, among others) as part of a drug-abuse prevention effort funded by McDonald's and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
  • The license holders waived the usual fees for the use of the characters with the exception of Garfield.
  • In the scene where ALF and Michael traverse the Hall of Mirrors, ALF makes a football penalty joke; this is a reference to an earlier scene in the film where Michael and Corey's father mentions having watched a football game earlier.
