Hugo Awards 2015 winners list includes Guardians of the Galaxy

The 2015 Hugo Awards winners were announced on Saturday during the 73rd World Science Fiction Convention. Among the big winners was Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which won Best Dramatic Presentation in the Long Form category.

“Oh my Gosh, this is so amazing,” director-writer James Gunn tweeted of the win. Chris Miller and Phil Lord’s The Lego Movie, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, Doug Liman’s Edge of Tomorrow, and Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier were also nominated for the category.

Orphan Black, starring Tatiana Maslany, was another big winner. The series took home Best Dramatic Presentation in the Short Form category for the season 2 finale titled “By Means Which Have Never Been Tried.” This win comes after Maslany received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama — something fans remarked was long overdue.

Members of the World Science Fiction Society gave “No Award” to the categories of Best Novella, Short Story, Related Work, Editor Short Form, and Editor Long Form. You can see the full list of winners below.

Best Graphic Story: Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal; written by G. Willow Wilson; illustrated by Adrian Alphona and Jake Wyatt

Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form: Guardians of the Galaxy

Best Professional Artist: Julie Dillon

Best Semiprozine: Lightspeed Magazine

Best Fanzine: Journey Planet

Best Fancast: Galactic Suburbia Podcast

Best Fan Writer: Laura J. Mixon

Best Fan Artist: Elizabeth Leggett

John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer (a non-Hugo award): Wesley Chu
