Tributes have been pouring in for Alan Rickman in the wake of his death at 69, but fans of his turn as potions master Severus Snape gathered to show their respects at the one place they felt most appropriate — Hogwarts.

A group called Diversely Geek invited Harry Potter fans to apparate to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and recreated the sequence from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as the students of Hogwarts honored — spoiler alert — the death of Dumbledore. The group is continuing to plan meet-ups for over the weekend.

Some visiting wizards left flowers in certain park locations connected to Snape, including in front of his office, and, as will always be appropriate, a lily in front of the Potions classroom. Fans also honored Rickman’s passing at Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross station in London.

Among those from the wizarding world who have expressed their remembrances of Rickman are Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and J.K. Rowling. Rickman died at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer
