Oscars 2016: Jacob Tremblay meets Daisy Ridley from Star Wars: Force Awakens

When it comes to #squadgoals, Jacob Tremblay can count some friends from a galaxy far, far away. The 9-year-old Room star posed for photos with Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley, as well as droids BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3PO, behind the scenes at the Oscars.

“Met #Rey, she is awesome, but [Daisy Ridley] is even cooler,” he wrote on Instagram, while he called the robotic trio his “new squad.” Earlier in the evening, he appeared to be wowed by the droids, who took the stage to praise Star Wars composer John Williams.

Tremblay, a professed Star Wars fan, has crossed paths with BB-8 before. He also had an impromptu Jedi lightsaber battle with Oscar Isaac at the Golden Globes, met The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, and owns a Millennium Falcon toy.

If the young actor could snap a selfie with John Boyega and Adam Driver, his Star Wars photo collection would feature all the new stars.
