The son will rise again. Soon.

Colton Haynes, who plays Luke, offspring of Mitch Grinder, will guest-star in another episode of The Grinder. In his rain-soaked Feb. 9 appearance on the Fox comedy, the Arrow and Teen Wolf alum popped up as Luke in the show within the show (a.k.a. the hit legal drama The Grinder), giving some tough love to his self-sabotaging father (Rob Lowe) while trying to help him become the family man that he used to be. This time, Luke returns from war, and again seeks a reconnection. But as they start to get into the father-son groove, work drives Mitch away.

Slated to air in April, the episode also includes return appearances by Kenny Lucas as Cory Manler (who has filed a malpractice suit against William Devane’s Dean Sr.) and Jerry Minor as Principal Davis (whose office is trashed by a student, providing Lowe’s Dean the opportunity to unleash some dramatics during the disciplinary process). And in related returning-guest-star news, tonight’s 9:30 p.m. installment of The Grinder features Maya Rudolph, Jason Alexander, and Odette Annable.
