In the midst of the repeated backlash against his TODAY show performance, former child star Corey Feldman visited The Talk to explain his emotional reaction over social media.

The Goonies star posted a Facebook Live video last week, addressing through tears the negative attention his performance of his new track “Go 4 It” had received. The response has since been removed by Feldman, an act he explained during a visit to The Talk Tuesday. “I wanted people to see the real emotion I was feeling,” said Feldman. “I wanted people to see that I’m not a fake; I’m a real person and this effects me. I am made of blood and flesh and I cry.” He added, ‘Those 10 million views are going to add up, so thank you to the haters.”

Co-host Sara Gilbert came to Feldman’s defense during the interview, stating she commends the singer for “getting up there and putting your soul out.” The additional panel of hosts, including Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood, and Sharon Osbourne had discussed Feldman’s performance during Monday’s show, with Osbourne stating that the Lost Boys actor had “never made a hit.” Feldman came prepared to combat Osbourne, with notes on the recent spike for his track on the Billboard charts.

The singer also revealed on the show that he was invited back by NBC “for an encore” performance. Additional celebrity support has come for Feldman, including his Stand by Me costar Jerry O’Connell, Pink, and Kesha.
