Did Pitch step up to the plate?

Fox's new baseball drama starring Kylie Bunbury as the first woman to play in Major League Baseball premiered Thursday night. Co-creator Dan Fogelman even met with the MLB commissioner Rob Manfred to talk about making the show as authentic as they could.

The makers of Pitch have said they want to make something more than just a baseball story. Executive producer Paris Barclay previously told the Television Critics Association, "I think we're making The West Wing in baseball here."
