Chicago P.D. deleted scene shows Mouse's departure

You may not be getting a new episode of Chicago P.D. tonight due to Chicago Baseball airing at the same time, but at least you’re getting this deleted scene from last week’s episode.

As we know, the Intelligence Unit’s resident tech analyst, Greg “Mouse” Gurwitch (Samuel Hunt) asked Voight to write a letter on his behalf in order to have a felony record buried so he could reenlist in the army, and Platt wrote it instead. But what we didn’t know for sure was if Mouse was really going to leave.

And, apparently, he was.

The deleted scene, posted on the show’s official Twitter page, features the gang at Molly’s toasting him and bidding him farewell. “Once a member of this family, always a member of this family,” the post reads. “Cheers to you, Mouse.”

“I wanted to take a second to say thank you, because it’s been an honor to work here, it really has,” Mouse says. “For a long time I was drifting around — I was looking for a family and a home, and you guys gave me that.” The scene ends perfectly with Mouse and Halstead hugging it out.

NBC announced earlier Wednesday it would be airing a rerun episode in light of the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians duking it out in the historic Game 7 of the World Series.

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
