The drama surrounding Sex and the City continues.

Speaking to Piers Morgan on an episode of the ITV series Life Stories, Kim Cattrall reportedly said series lead Sarah Jessica Parker “could have been nicer” during their time on the show. The comments come amid reports that a third Sex and the City film has been squashed — potentially because of Cattrall herself.

Last week, after Parker said she was “disappointed” a third Sex and the City movie never materialized, many speculated the project had fallen apart because of Cattrall, who reportedly made “outrageous demands” to appear.

But Cattrall responded to those rumors on Twitter, writing, “The only ‘DEMAND’ I ever made was that I didn’t want to do a 3rd film….& that was back in 2016.”

Parker had already expressed her frustrations to Extra, saying, “I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

Costar Kristin Davis, who portrayed Charlotte on the long-running series, also responded with dismay to the news on Instagram.

“It is true that we are not going to be able to make a 3rd film,” she wrote. “I wish that we could have made the final chapter, on our own terms, to complete the stories of our characters. It is deeply frustrating not to [be] able to share that chapter (beautifully written by [Michael Patrick King]) with all of you. So we will just have our memories, but please know that all of the love and support for us through the years is felt by us and we are so grateful for all of you! SATC forever in our hearts.”

Reps for Parker had no further comment; representatives for Cattrall did not immediately respond to request for comment.
