Nat Wolff recalls the time his ex hit him with her car: 'Now we're friendly'

“We ended up having a great conversation,” the "Fault in Our Stars" actor said.

Nat Wolff is reflecting on an old relationship that ended with a crash.

During a conversation about exes on Thursday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the Fault in Our Stars actor discussed an incident when his ex-girlfriend ran into him on the road. “The ex that I had a really bad falling out with, she hit me with her car,” Wolff said, adding that the moment occurred “completely accidentally.”

“It was random,” he continued. “It was like the beginning of a rom-com. I was just walking, completely absent-mindedly. I’m totally fine. We ended up having a great conversation. I said ‘I’m sorry’ for my part, she said ‘I’m sorry’ for her part, and now we’re friendly too.”

Wolff seems to be on decent terms with multiple exes, as he also revealed that he recently attended a different ex’s wedding. “It was amazing,” he told host Drew Barrymore. “Immediately when I walked in I had somebody say, ‘Nat Wolff, the ex: an evolved man,’ and they all [said] cheers to me.”

Meanwhile, Barrymore said that she’s owned up to her romantic mistakes in conversations with exes. “I have spoken to a lot of my ex-boyfriends who I’m still really close with and had those conversations like, ‘I’m sorry that I was such a partier while we were together.’”

Wolff’s costar Lucy Hale, on the other hand, said, “I feel like I’ve held myself accountable and forgiven where needed. I’m not friends with all of my exes. I’ve closed those chapters.”
