Graham plays an NBC censor who becomes a love interest for the Seinfeld mastermind in the HBO comedy’s ninth season. “Larry’s always had a complicated relationship with NBC censors. Now he’s dating one,” Curb executive producer Jeff Schaffer tells EW. “This is a pretty good relationship in spite of the fact that she’s an NBC censor. She does have a kid. And that can complicate things.”

Larry is, of course, no longer with wife Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), who does return in season 9, along with Curb‘s other main characters, including Jeff (Jeff Garlin), Susie (Susie Essman), and Leon (JB Smoove).

Previously, details on Graham’s guest role had been largely unknown, with the actress revealing this spring only that the character is “someone who has very colorful language” and is “completely not me at all.”

Other celebrities joining Graham in the season 9 guest cast include Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman, Ed Begley Jr., Elizabeth Perkins, Carrie Brownstein, and Nasim Pedrad.

Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to the air Oct. 1 after a six-year hiatus.
