Here's What Saturn Retrograde Means for You, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Another planetary retrograde is approaching. 

Unlike Pluto retrograde and Mercury retrograde, which can appear to cause chaos in our lives, the upcoming Saturn retrograde will likely have different effects on you astrologically. 

Commencing on June 29 and lasting until Nov. 15 in the Water sign Pisces, astrologer and bestselling author Lisa Stardust tells PEOPLE that contrary to popular belief, “Saturn retrograde isn't a bad time.” 

Instead, this retrograde will push us “to think outside the box, level up and commit to who we love.” However, Stardust notes that “the caveat is that our intuition and boundaries may be blurred, which is why self-reflection and contemplation will help us grow and gain an understanding of matters in a more clear and concise way.” 

Here’s how Saturn retrograde will affect you, based on your zodiac sign, according to Stardust’s readings.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

During Saturn retrograde, Aries will find themselves contemplating their actions and the weight they hold. “They’ll be able to heal a lot of the wounds from within during this time,” Stardust says. 

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Prepare to “assess” what you really want out of your life, Taurus, specifically when it comes to friendships. Stardust notes that during this time, you’ll see friends “for who they truly are” (and you “might not like” what you see).

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This time is all about balance, Gemini. According to Stardust, you’ll be finding a good groove between your career and home life. “They’re seeing that burning the midnight oil and working hard is having an effect on their family and friendships,” Stardust suggests. 

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is your season, Cancer, don’t let anything hold you back! Though you might be feeling “constrained from growing and evolving,” during this time, Stardust suggests you think “outside the box” to help you “transform” your life and ultimately achieve your dreams.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Is money on your mind, Leo? Stardust teases that this Fire sign “may find that financial issues are coming to a high.” To combat this problem, Stardust suggests you “consolidate debt and make a plan to pay off bills.” 

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You might be feeling unsure about love during this time, Virgo, as Stardust teases you’ll be “waffling back-and-forth” about “romantic hopes and aspirations.” However, don’t fret, Stardust says things will likely work out in the end as you “choose to commit to the person they love and start a new journey with them.” 

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Libras could be feeling “lazier than ever” during this time as “they're unwilling and not wanting to be super active,” Stardust predicts. In an effort to get “excited and motivated,” Stardust suggests you plan a fun event to get you outside. 

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Scorpios will be feeling incredibly deep this season. “Talking about matters that aren't superficial and more controversial is going to help them feel so they can connect with people,” Stardust says. 

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

Dealing with some familial issues, Sagittarius? If you’re butting heads with your brood, Stardust suggests you “work on mending the past and dealing with generational trauma in order to create a new dynamic moving forward.” 

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

“Capricorn’s words may be a little limited because they're being more cerebral about their feelings,” Stardust suggests. If you give the Earth sign “a chance to express their sentiments,” Stardust says “they will take time to find the right words to share with others.” 

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Aquariuses might find their confidence and bank accounts are a bit depleted during this time. “They may feel that because their bank accounts aren't at a high level, their self-esteem is low,” Stardust suggests. “Comprehending that they don't need money to make them happy is going to be pivotal during this transit. Happiness is found from within not through material possessions.” 

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Pisces could find themselves feeling all-powerful during this time. While you might be inclined to “boss up” and “take charge of matters” in your life, Stardust warns that this could also “lead to arguments with others,” noting that it’s important for you to stay in your lane “to figure out where these emotions are stemming from.”
