I had solar panels installed in October 2022 after Palmetto inspected my roof and deemed it suitable for installation. I have had a leak on the other side of the roof since then so had a roofer inspect. As it turns out, I need a whole new roof after having 2 separate estimates. I contacted Palmetto and expressed my frustration that the roof was supposedly in good condition but less than 2 years later is in need of a full replacement. They stood by their inspection and charged almost $2800 to remove and replace the panels - which had to be paid in full before I could even speak to a scheduler. Invoice paid June 25. Was notified by email the same day that my case to a service provider, but wasn't provided with any of this provider's contact info. After several emails and calls later, it is a full week since I sent the payment and have yet to receive any contact from the solar panel removal company. I am still waiting to schedule my roof replacement and have endured many rainstorms which have caused further leaks in the roof. This whole transaction - between the poor primary roof inspection to the attempted solar panel removal and replacement has been an absolute nightmare.
