Op-ed Guidelines
Berkeleyside welcomes submissions of opinion pieces, which we publish at our discretion. They must be fact-based, with links and citations to substantiate arguments. We generally do not publish items that have appeared elsewhere and ask for two weeks’ exclusivity. If you do not hear back, assume we have decided to pass.
Topics should be Berkeley-related, local authors are preferred and anonymity is not allowed. We recommend 500-600 words and at least 72 hours’ notice. Please send Word or Google docs, not PDFs. Send your name, phone number and a one-line bio with all relevant disclosures to opinion@berkeleyside.org.
