Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has finally spoken out to condemn anti-Semitism after an anti-Israel protest descended into chaos outside of a New York exhibit honoring the victims of the Israeli music festival terror attack on October 7.

The Congresswoman took to X to denounce the 'dehumanization' and 'targeting of Jews' that took place on Wall Street Monday night when a mob of pro-Palestine supporters made its way to the Nova Music Festival Exhibition.

'The callousness, dehumanization, and targeting of Jews on display at last night's protest outside the Nova Festival exhibit was atrocious antiSemitism - plain and simple,' Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a post on Tuesday.

'AntiSemitism has no place in our city nor any broader movement that centers human dignity and liberation,' she added.

The public statement comes after AOC, a staunch pro-Palestine activist, had remained notably silent on the surge of anti-Semitism occurring at colleges and public places across the country in the wake of the Hamas terror attack.

Chaos erupted again on Monday after a pro-Palestine demonstration that had begun in Manhattan's Union Square ended up outside the exhibit downtown

Footage of the event showed disorderly scenes, with flares and smoke billowing from crowd of demonstrators carrying anti-Israel signs and chanting 'long live the intifada'.

The Nova Music Festival exhibition, which began in Tel Aviv to pay tribute to the 364 lives lost in the terror attack, launched in New York as a four-week-long presentation in April.

Hollywood music executive Scooter Braun, who is Jewish, is among the festival founders' US partners who had heavily promoted the installation in New York City.

Braun was quick to condemn the massive crowd of protesters who had gathered outside the memorial just days before it was scheduled to close - and later announced the exhibition will be extended to June 22nd as a result.

'Due to the overwhelming demand and excitement around the @novaexhibition today...we have decided to extend one more week in nyc until the 22nd now just to make sure everyone has a chance to visit and see for themselves...and for those who chose to protest against innocent music lovers who were murdered,' Braun wrote in an Instagram post.

AOC has been an outspoken pro-Palestine activists and had thrown her support behind the controversial anti-Israel demonstrators that had wreaked havoc on Columbia University's campus in April.

In November, the New York Democrat was among those who voted against a resolution to condemn growing anti-Semitism and support for Iran-backed terror group Hamas on college campuses.

Still the resolution passed overwhelmingly, with 213 Republican votes and 183 Democrats.

The resolution calls out college leaders for not speaking out in support of Jewish and pro-Israel students. It urges them to condemn anti-Semitism and ensure those students have a right to free speech on campus.
