CRAIG HOPE IN DUSSELDORF: England again made life hard for themselves, but reached the semi-finals of Euro 2024 following a penalty shootout.  The Three Lions again found themselves going behind through Breel Embolo's 75th minute goal.  Their lead only lasted five minutes however as Bukayo Saka's brilliant strike took the game to extra-time. Here, Mail Sport's CRAIG HOPE runs the rule over the England players

Bronny James played his first game for the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday afternoon.  Bronny was taken by the Lakers with the No. 55 pick in last month's NBA Draft, becoming the first player to be drafted while his father is an active player.   His dad may be away with the US Olympics team in Las Vegas but Bronny wasted no time in putting on the iconic yellow and purple jersey for the Lakers' Summer League game against the Sacramento Kings in San Francisco. 

A pair of NBA players got into an ugly altercation during international play on Saturday. In the midst of France's 90-66 win in a friendly against Germany, Evan Fournier of France and Dennis Schroder of Germany needed to be separated. During a play in the second quarter, Schroder drove to the basket and took a hard foul from Fournier.

Olivia Dunne continued to gift her millions of followers with inside glimpses into one of the most exclusive Fourth of July celebrations.  The annual bash at Michael Rubin's $50million oceanfront home in the Hamptons is one of the hottest tickets in town and is always littered with A-list stars. And LSU gymnast and social media sensation Dunne was among the star-studded guest list this year, alongside the likes of Tom Brady, Joe Burrow, Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Robert Kraft and Travis Scott.  Dunne, who boasts eight million followers on TikTok, shared an insight into the luxury event in Bridgehampton.

Novak Djokovic's match against Alexei Popyrin was interrupted as fans celebrated England's penalty shoot-out victory against Switzerland.  The Three Lions booked their place in the Euro 2024 semi-finals after being sent to a shoot-out, following a goalless 120 minutes of football in Dusseldorf. And, while the England players took to the penalty spot in Germany, fans who were at Wimbledon were clearly tuning in as they erupted into celebration on Saturday.

George Russell and Lewis Hamilton joined thousands of fans at Silverstone to cheer on England to a penalty shootout win over Switzerland on Saturday night. The Mercedes pair had earlier enjoyed a dream qualifying at the British Grand Prix as they locked out the front row for Sunday's race, with Russell taking pole position and Hamilton right behind him. And they stayed behind afterwards to watch England's Euro 2024 quarter-final on the big screen, with Russell donning a Three Lions home shirt.

The three-time Super Bowl-winning duo only returned to their London hotel from their trip to the green after nine hours of playing as they were spotted in the UK's capital with their golf cubs. Staying behind was Patrick's wife, Brittany, with their two children: Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 1.

RIATH AL-SAMARRAI: There was a scene that caused some mild amusement to a colleague and me at Wimbledon on Friday afternoon. We were perched on a terrace overlooking a corner of the grounds by Centre Court and it is without equal for a spot of people-watching in these parts. The people we happened to watch were two women who had stopped to stare at a line of ball kids waiting for their next assignment. They were so fascinated by this brush with the ensemble that a man passed by unnoticed behind them and went about the suave business of being Roger Federer. This can be that kind of place. History can creep around on light toes and it can scream and bounce off the green walls.

Ahead of The John Deere Classic, which Balionis previously confirmed that she will cover, the CBS Sports reporter shared some snaps of her 'girls trip' to Sin City on Instagram. 'I'll bet on us every time,' she wrote as a caption to her post. Footage emerged at the end of May showing Kylie, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, arguing with a fan who reportedly 'harassed' her and her husband for a picture as they tried to enjoy a date night on Memorial Day weekend. In the clip, Travis Kelce's brother and sister-in-law were confronted by the woman outside a New Jersey restaurant as she shouted at Kylie: 'I don't give a f**k who you are, you'll never be allowed in this town again!'

The hosts were eliminated in a pulsating showdown in Stuttgart with Mikel Merino breaking their hearts after guiding home a header in the 119th minute. The wives and girlfriends of Germany's players and head coach Nagelsmann remained inside the stadium long after the final whistle to console their partners. Much like their other halves, they were also visibly dejected with the result. Nagelsmann's partner, former journalist Lena Wurzenberger, was seen being gently consoled while in her seat, a small German flag on both her cheeks. Manuel Neuer's girlfriend, Anika Bissel, was snapped on the phone while Florian Wirtz's partner, Aaliyah, looked unimpressed as she walked past a photographer.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have become the latest victims of Antonio Brown's brutal online antics this week. Brown, who spent the majority of his 12-year NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers , is known for unleashing ruthless attacks on social media which often cross the line, with Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce and WNBA star Caitlin Clark two of his most recent targets. And after taking aim his brother, now the former Steelers receiver has mocked Travis and pop-megastar girlfriend Taylor.
