Shake it off Rishi! Keir Starmer taunts Swiftie PM by gushing to schoolkids about attending 'fantastic' Taylor Swift concert at Wembley with little-seen wife Victoria and their children as he prepares to inflict a cruel summer on Tories

It's proving to be a cruel summer for Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer is determined to put the boot in, gushing about how brilliant Taylor Swift was on Friday.

The Prime Minister has spoken before about being a massive fan of the country pop behemoth, but it was the opposition leader who may need to calm down after seeing her live at Wembley.

Sir Keir posted a picture from the first of her three nights in London with his little-seen wife Victoria, who attended along with their two teenage children.

And he could not resist talking about it to schoolchildren during an election visit in Kettering this morning.

'It was fantastic. I went with my wife and my children and I learned something there,' he said.

'I learned that my 13-and-a-half year old daughter knows every single word of every single song of every single album of Taylor Swift and she sang them all throughout the entire three hours we were there.'

'It was fantastic I have to say it was a great concert.'

Though he is busy on the campaign trail on Scotland today, Mr Sunak would be forgiven for thinking 'I knew you were trouble', but will hope to shake it off very quickly.

He is believed to have attended a concert in Los Angeles as the singer completed the first US leg of her record-breaking 'Eras' tour last year.

But Mr Sunak has said on the campaign trail he does not meet the threshold to be considered a 'Swiftie' in the eyes of his two daughters.

Labour leader Sir Keir shared a photograph of himself and Victoria at the stadium on social media site X, formerly Twitter.

''Swift' campaign pitstop,' the image was captioned.

The Labour manifesto, entitled Change, shares its name with a song from Swift's 2008 album Fearless, and Sir Keir has claimed it is his favourite song.
