Horror in Kentucky gun store as customer accidentally fires weapon and kills grandfather
A beloved grandfather was killed after a customer accidentally fired a weapon in a Kentucky gun store.
Chad Wainscott, 50, was killed on Saturday around 8:30 pm, after an unidentified customer 'was viewing a firearm for sale and manipulating it' before a single round discharged, police said.
Wainscott was inside Humphrey Double H Farms Enterprises Inc. in Carroll County when he was struck by the bullet as other patrons attempted to save his life.
Kentucky State Police troopers found the wounded grandfather inside the firearm store being treated by paramedics. He was taken to Carroll County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
'Prayers to the family and all that, and that's the only comment we have,' an employee from Humphrey Double H Farms Enterprises Inc. told DailyMail.com.

'He was one of the good ones,' a family member said about Wainscott, also known as 'Papaw.'
State police said that the person who fired the gun has cooperated with investigators, and based on their statements and witness accounts, foul play is not suspected.
'No charges are pending at this time, and this is an ongoing investigation by Post 5 detectives,' the police added.
Wainscott's loved ones have shared their thoughts and prayers for him and his family following his unexpected death.
One said: 'I will miss you my friend!!'
Another wrote: 'He was one of the good ones!'
Wainscott's obituary said that he was also known as 'Little Chigger' by his family, named after his grandfather 'Chig's'

His mother, Anita Wainscott, posted many pictures of her late son on Facebook. A recent post showed her son smiling big with family members and a little baby.
Wainscott's obituary said that he was also known as 'Little Chigger' by his family, named after his grandfather 'Chig's.'
In his life he worked as a mechanic, remodeled homes with his father, drove for a concrete company, and was an employee for North American Stainless.
Just before he died, Wainscott enjoyed working on the farm with his father. He also loved spending time at Dallasburg Baptist Church in Wheatley, according to his obituary.

'Chad was known to be most happiest outdoors,' the obituary said.
He is survived by his mother, his father Jerry, his daughter Courtney (Dustin) Burke, his son Coltin Wainscott, his brother Jason Wainscott, and his grandson whom he adored, Edward Burke.
Visitation for Wainscott are set to take place at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton on Tuesday and Wednesday.
His funeral will follow on Wednesday at 2.00pm and he will be buried in the Dallasburg Wheatley Cemetery.
