Derek Chisora says boxers who are caught with drugs in their system should be handed a 10-year ban on the spot.
Chisora’s comments came shortly after Dillian Whyte returned 'adverse analytical findings' in a pre-fight drugs test carried out before his rematch with Anthony Joshua by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
Chisora - who is fighting against Gerald Washington on the undercard of AJ’s rearranged bout with Robert Helenius - joked ‘taking drugs in Ibiza is OK but not in the boxing ring’ before getting serious.
The 39-year-old said boxing is dangerous enough without athletes taking illegal substances and claimed doping could be fatal.
‘It’s a problem in the sport. Boxing is hard enough. It’s hard enough to fight someone’s kid when you’re not on drugs. Imagine now fighting someone’s kid while you are on drugs.

‘It’s not even the fighters I blame. You don’t see a boxer going okay let me go line this stuff and get it into my system. No, no, no. They say, if I get this for you, you can do this and this and this.
‘I don’t take drugs when I’m boxing. I take drugs when I am out in Ibiza if I’m honest with you. That’s fine. That’s calm.
‘I think they should make a new rule now. This is for the boxing board of control. It needs to be a 10-year ban now. Straight away.'
