Tammy Abraham rues hitting the crossbar for a SIXTH time since joining Roma from Chelsea this year... as England international helps Jose Mourinho's side to 2-0 win over Empoli
- Roma move up to fourth in the table with a 2-0 victory over Empoli on Sunday
- Lorenzo Pellegrini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored either side of half-time
- Mkhitaryan's goal saw Tammy Abraham hit the bar in the build-up to the strike
- It is the sixth time Abraham has hit the bar since moving from Chelsea this year
Tammy Abraham rued his luck at Roma after the English striker hit the woodwork for the sixth time this season during the Giallorossi's 2-0 win over Empoli on Sunday.
The 24-year-old struck the bar in the build-up to Roma's second goal, with Abraham's effort coming off the bar and down into the path of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who slammed in a second goal for Jose Mourinho's men.
Abraham, who has four goals in nine games since making a £34m move from Chelsea earlier this summer, took to Twitter to complain about his poor fortune - and even asked for the crossbar to be altered to suit his needs.

The former Chelsea striker tweeted after the game: 'Someone please remove the crossbar/post. 6th time already this season I’ve hit.'
Earlier in the game, Lorenzo Pellegrini celebrated signing a new contract and his recall to the Italian national team squad by setting Roma on their way to a comfortable win.
The 25-year-old midfielder penned a new deal to stay in the Italian capital until 2026 before the match and arrowed Roma in front three minutes before the break, days after being named in the Azzurri squad for this week's Nations League finals.

Mkhitaryan added a second three minutes after the break to help Roma settle in the game
Mkhitaryan had Roma two goals in front three minutes after the interval, reacting first after Tammy Abraham's powerful strike had come back off the crossbar, with the hosts able to take their foot off the gas after that and see out the victory with ease.
The result kept Jose Mourinho's side fourth in the standings, six points behind leaders Napoli, while Empoli stayed 10th.
Fernando Forestieri's late equaliser earned Udinese a point in a pulsating 3-3 draw at Sampdoria, while Hellas Verona thrashed Spezia 4-0 in Veneto.
