Man United boss Ralf Rangnick reveals he couldn't turn to Jesse Lingard off the bench during draw with Leicester as he 'was VOMITING before the game'... with the midfielder joining Cristiano Ronaldo in suffering from illness

- Boss Ralf Rangnick revealed that the 29-year-old was vomiting before the game
- The Red Devils were without Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani in attack
Ralf Rangnick revealed he could not call upon Jesse Lingard in Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Leicester City due to being sick.
The 29-year-old was an unused substitute - despite being one of only two attacking options on the bench for the Foxes' clash at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were already without star Cristiano Ronaldo through illness and Edinson Cavani through injury.

Marcus Rashford came off the bench in the 55th minute to replace Scott McTominay while Lingard remained on the sidelines.
But boss Rangnick revealed the reasoning behind his decision to not bring on the former England international.
'Jesse Lingard couldn't come on because he was sick,' Rangnick told reporters.
'He was vomiting before the game. We had all the offensive players we had available on the pitch at the end.'

Ronaldo also missed Saturday's fortuitous draw through illness. It's the sixth Premier League game he hasn't started since he returned to Old Trafford and his team-mates are still yet to win any of them.
No Ronaldo meant no focal point in attack with the experiment of using Bruno Fernandes as a false nine failing badly.
Ralf Rangnick then turned to the out-of-form Marcus Rashford to come off the bench to play centre-forward but things didn't improve.

Man United missed Cristiano Ronaldo's presence and his match-winning potential
His presence and match-winning potential was missed, with the hosts only managing a draw after Fred cancelled out Kelechi Iheanacho's opener.
Ronaldo has scored 18 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for United this season and netted a hat-trick in his side's 3-2 win against Tottenham just before the international break.
A point gives United faint hope of qualifying for the Champions League though they are still three points behind fourth-place Arsenal having played a couple of games more.
