Bayern Munich demolished visitors Mainz 05 6-2 on Saturday, with Sadio Mane scoring once and setting up two more goals to put Bayern on top of the Bundesliga.
Senegal international Mane, who also scored in Bayern’s 3-0 midweek win at Barcelona in the Champions League, also missed a penalty during the game.
Germany internationals Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Leon Goretzka were all on target for Bayern along with substitutes Mathys Tel and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Mainz briefly cut the deficit twice, with goals from Silvan Widmer and Marcus Ingvartsen, with the away side also missing a penalty just before half-time.
The reigning champions are now two points clear at the top of the league with 25 points. Union Berlin, in second place with 23 points, are in action against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday. After this defeat, Mainz drop to eighth with 18 points.
Bayern have not been at their best so far this season but will be hoping results like this can kickstart their 2022-23 campaign.
