Neymar was Brazil's undisputed star man for the entirety of Tite's time in charge but played no part in the Copa America they won due to injury.

Regarded by many to be the third best player of the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi era, Neymar is often criticised for not fulfilling his potential.

Nonetheless, he is the nation's top scorer of all time with 79 goals, surpassing Pele last year.

He was the national team captain at the start of Tite's reign but was stripped due to disciplinary issues.

Tite coached Ronaldo during the final years of his illustrious career at Corinthians.

O Fenomeno netted 35 goals in 69 appearances for Brazilian side despite being well past his best at that stage.

Ronaldo is widely considered to be one of the best players in the history of the game and netted 62 times for his country, winning two World Cups.
