Chinese international Yu Hanchao is SACKED by Guangzhou Evergrande after he was caught on camera altering his licence plate and detained by police

Guangzhou Evergrande star Yu Hanchao has been sacked by the club after he was recorded tampering with the number plate on his car.
The 33-year-old has been detained by police after the offence, which saw him appearing to change the letter E to the letter F.
The Chinese Super League outfit said the winger had 'severely violated' club protocols and had been released from his contract.

A clip of the incident shows Yu bending down in front of his Mercedes-Benz and appearing to sketch at one of the letters on the number plate.
The Chinese international, committing the offence on a busy street in Guangzhou, goes to head back inside his car, before inspecting it further and going back to continue making changes to the plate with the letter E now changed to F. He then gets into the drivers seat.
Yu will spend 15 days in custody, a fine of £562 and 12 points on his licence.

In a statement Guangzhou Evergrande said: 'The player Yu Hanchao severely violated the "Nine Expulsion" disciplinary provisions of Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club [and] "Team Regulations", and was dismissed after the company's research.'
Yu's Mercedes-Benz is registered in Liaoning, where he grew up, but it is located over 2,700km from Guangzhou where he was filmed. Non-local cars in the city are only allowed to be driven for four days in a row. After four days they can then be driven again.
Yu had been with the club since 2014 and has played 177 times, winning 10 trophies for the reigning league champions and scoring 30 goals in that time.

He is also a Chinese international with 59 caps, scoring nine times.
Yu has not been featuring for Evergrande in the last few months with the Chinese Super League currently suspended due to the coronavirus.
The disease that has now spread its way across the world began in China and the top flight was suspended indefinitely at the end of January, with nearly 8,000 cases at the time. At present there are now more than 83,000 infections, with 3,300 deaths.
However, with the spread of the disease beginning to slow in China, teams have returned to training ahead of a possible return to action.
