CHRIS SUTTON: Manchester United must be wary of Roma's set-piece threat and take their chances... that is how they can win their first trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
- Against Ajax, Roma sat deep and scored from set pieces and on the counter
- Man United must be wary of the Italian side's threat from corners and free-kicks
- If Roma want to keep the ball then United can hit them on the break instead
- In reality, United should be winning this tie and reaching another major final
Roma scraped through against Ajax in the quarter-finals. The Italians fielded their usual back three and willingly surrendered the ball.
They had 34 per cent possession in the first leg and won 2-1, scoring from two set-pieces and capitalising on a goalkeeping mistake.
They had 28 per cent in the second leg and drew 1-1, with Edin Dzeko equalising from a counter-attack.

Ajax were left to regret wasted opportunities to score, including a saved penalty and a goal disallowed by VAR.
Manchester United know they are the better team but they need to be clinical with any chances that come their way. That is how they can win their first trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Roma manager Paulo Fonseca says that despite their lack of possession against Ajax, he wants his team to be brave and keep the ball against United.

That’s fine for Solskjaer, his side are more than capable of hurting them on the counter-attack with Marcus Rashford and Co.
Set pieces could be key — only Leeds and Wolves have conceded more goals from dead balls in the Premier League this season.
Roma have enough physical, towering figures to make life uncomfortable. But really, United should be winning this tie and reaching another major final.
