The win means the Germans leap-frog Armenia to the top of the group with 12 points after their first five games, with their visitors now two points behind in second spot.
Romania are third on nine points, one ahead of North Macedonia.
The result means new Germany coach Hansi Flick is yet to see his side concede in his first two matches in charge of his country, after taking over from Joachim Low following Die Mannschaft's Euro 2020 exit to England in June.
