But for commentator Joe Rogan, his victory could see MMA heavyweight legend Miocic retire.
Miocic - whose wife confirmed after the fight he was 'alright' - is now 38 and has had a professional MMA career spanning more than 11 years, with his record currently 20-4.
'It could be the end of a long and storied career,' Rogan said, shortly after the main event in the post-fight show.
'It's entirely up to him. I'm sure he's gonna take some time and rest and think things through.
'But what a career the man has had. Very underappreciated, beaten legends.

Miocic could now call time on his distinguished career, says commentator Joe Rogan
'But I think he ran into an unstoppable force tonight. When you have a guy like Francis who is a one-in-a-million physical specimen, maybe one in 80 million, right?'
UFC president Dana White however stated he does not know what the future could hold for Miocic.
'I don't know what the future holds for Stipe,' White said in his post-fight press conference.
'Obviously after this fight, he's gotta go home and heal up, spend some time with his family and we'll talk about what's next.'
