Molly Meldrum is seen walking again at Bert Newton's state funeral after previously being confined to a wheelchair following a 2011 fall from a ladder
Molly Meldrum suffered several setbacks that impeded his ability to walk following a 2011 fall from a ladder in his backyard and 2016 fall in Bangkok, Thailand.
But the music legend appears to be on the road to recovery - seen walking into the state funeral of his dear friend and entertainer Bert Newton on Friday.
Having been confined to a wheelchair during earlier public outings, Meldrum, 78, walked into St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne with the help of a carer.

Meldrum has had difficulty walking as a result of setbacks that stemmed from a fall from a ladder at his home in Richmond, an inner suburb of Melbourne, in 2011.
The incident left the musical entrepreneur with a fractured skull and spinal injuries that he never fully recovered from.
He suffered a second fall while on holiday in Thailand in 2016, slipping while exiting a taxi in Bangkok.
