But fans were left very surprised after hearing her voice sounding strikingly different from her Little Mix popstar days in the slow and emotional ballad.
Her new track couldn't be further away from her divisive first solo R&B single Boyz, which also featured Nicki Minaj and was released in October 2021.
Going in a very different direction for her second single, Jesy showed off her vocal range as she sang about a toxic ex-boyfriend in the powerful song.
An accompanying music video, set in the 1960s, was also released and saw Jesy work with Women's Aid to charter the highs and lows of a toxic relationship.
Directed by Charlie Sarsfield, Jesy cried real tears after her onscreen boyfriend (played by Sid Ellisdon) grabbed her by the throat and shouted at her.
The video documents Jesy's onscreen partner battling infidelity, being in with the wrong crowd and drugs in London's East End in the sixties, while she struggled to leave as he consoled her after their explosive argument.
