Survivor star Jaime Huffman accuses husband Erik Huffman of 'flying into rage over gay claims, attempted rape and physical abuse' in bombshell divorce filing 17 years after they fell in love on reality TV show

  • Erik and Jaime met on Survivor: China in 2007, and wed in April of 2009
  • Jaime, 38, last week filed court docs in South Carolina against Erik, 43
  • Erik was arrested in January in connection with domestic violence in a fight with Jaime over a burner phone

Newly-filed papers in the split between Survivor: China alums Jaime Huffman and Erik Huffman paint a grim picture of marital infidelity, domestic violence, substance abuse and attempted sexual assault.

Jaime, 38, last week filed court docs in South Carolina against Erik, 43, raising a number of allegations against her estranged spouse, who she exchanged vows with in 2009, according to the New York Post.

Jaime, a social media influencer, told the court in a 103-page affidavit that Erik, who works in healthcare as a physician's assistant, often drank too much - and would have massive displays of anger in that state.

Jaime said Erik, who she first crossed paths with on the CBS stalwart in 2007, was abusive to her when she confronted him on one occasion after she found messages on his phone from men described as 'flirtatious.'

Jaime, whose maiden name is Dugan, said in legal docs: 'He snapped and began screaming, "How dare you accuse me of being gay, you stupid b****?'

Jaime told the court that on another occasion, Erik 'attempted to have sex with her against her will.'

Jaime said in court docs that Erik weight-shamed her after she gave birth to their son Harper in 2010.

Jaime told the court that Erik also showed a jealous streak, as in one incident when she was working at a restaurant, he believed she was kissing a bartender who worked there. Jamie noted that she had leaned in close to him to tell the bartender about a customer complaint.

'He began screaming at me and punched a hole into the wall next to my head,' Jaime said in the legal docs. 'He broke multiple bones in his hand and everyone around him went silent.'

A number of allegations in the exhaustive affidavit appear 'to be backed up by eyewitnesses,' the Post reported after reviewing the documents in the case.

Accompanying the affidavit was a report from a private investigator that included photographs, detailing what Jaime claims is an extramarital affair Erik has had going with a work colleague who is married.

Erik 'was surveilled spending hours at her home,' according to the outlet, citing court docs.

Erik has not yet responded to the court filing, according to the Post.

Erik and Jaime separated earlier this year in the wake of a January 23 incident in which Erik was charged with third-degree domestic violence following a conflict at a Spartanburg, South Carolina gas station.

A police report documenting the arrest indicated that Erik injured Jaime's hand after she found an extra phone he was using.

Erik told the authorities in the incident that Jamie had threatened to self-harm and was in a suicidal state of mind, allegations which Jaime said were false.

According to the outlet, the domestic violence charges were first dropped after the police officer who arrested him didn't show up to court; the case had been reinstated after a 'solicitor independently reviewed the evidence and refiled the case.'

The former CBS stars were involved in another public conflict which required police intervention this past April 19, when they were summoned to a gas station over a custody row over their son.

After an 'agitated' Erik sought to pass off a draft agreement a judge hadn't signed, police let Jaime take their son that weekend, the outlet reported.

Erik and Jaime initially crossed paths on Survivor: China in 2007, a year in which she finished in 10th place and he finished in sixth.

The pair subsequently exchanged vows in an $80,000 wedding they won from the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
