Jessie confirmed her engagement to her carpenter partner Justin with a sweet Instagram post in February last year.

Announcing her happy news at the time, she shared a cosy snap with her partner and wrote: 'My fiancé and moi' in an accompanying caption.

The pair had been together for at least a year prior to their engagement had previously been reported before they confirmed the news.

Jessie downplayed rumours she was already married to Justin last summer after referring to him as her 'husband'.

She prompted inevitable speculation across social media with an Instagram post, in which she hinted at something more than a committed relationship.

Sharing a photo of herself wrapped in Justin's arms as they relaxed in a London pub, Jessie added the simple caption: 'My hubby.'

Jessie and Justin are said to have known each other since they were teenagers.

Justin hinted at his plans to propose last July, commenting on a photo of Jessie and her friend Jaime Winstone modelling matching costume jewellery on the set of a special flashback episode of EastEnders.

It was previously reported Justin had been helping Jessie to battle her booze demons after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

He told The Sun on Sunday: 'I just want to protect her. Everything is happy and things are good.'

Justin, who is said to keep a Jessie doll from Toy Story in his van, told The Sun last year: 'Our relationship is fine. We are very close.'

Speaking of the police incident, he added: 'I have made my apologies and so has Jessie.'

The actress has expressed her deep regret' after she allegedly told a police officer to 'f*** off you fat c***' during 'five minutes of carnage' outside a nightclub.

Wallace, who plays barmaid Kat Slater in the BBC soap, allegedly kneed the officer in the groin before she was arrested and placed into a police van, but she was later released without charge.

She was warned by BBC chiefs that her behaviour was 'unacceptable' after the incident, with Wallace expressing her 'deep regret'.

A BBC spokesman told MailOnline: 'Senior bosses have spoken to Jessie Wallace about the incident and issued a clear warning that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Jessie has expressed her deep regret.'

And her friends are believed to have urged the star to 'step back and slow down' after the 'unprofessional' incident.

One friend told The Mirror: 'She needs to step back, slow down and try to sort her head out. It goes without saying this behaviour is deeply unprofessional.'

MailOnline has contacted Wallace's representatives for comment.

Footage showed the moment Wallace was arrested following a 'drunken' night out, with witnesses claiming she had been kicked out of Flex nightclub for being 'gobby'.

It is claimed she kneed the officer in the groin before she was arrested and placed into a police van.

Earlier in the day Wallace had been with her new boyfriend watching a Madness gig at Thetford Forest, Brandon - where she posed for photographs with fans.

The star was later detained on suspicion of assaulting a police officer as well as drunk and disorderly conduct in Bury St Edmunds.

A witness said: 'It was truly shocking behaviour. She was out of control. It was worse than anything Kat Slater has done.

'She was a one-woman rampage. It was five minutes of carnage. The police dealt with it very well.'

But she was later released without charge by Suffolk Police after receiving a conditional caution.
