Rachael Finch courted attention on Wednesday when she did a strenuous workout routine in a bikini at a public ocean pool in Coogee, Sydney.

The Miss Universe Australia winner, 36, filmed herself as she performed deep squats and push-ups.

Hiding her face beneath a wide brimmed visor, the model wore a strapless cheetah print bikini top and black bottoms for the Instagram video.

Rachael got to work as her children Violet, eight, and Dominic, five, who she shares with husband Michael Miziner, played in the winter sun.

The first clip saw Rachael dropping down into some very deep squats as people milled around behind her.

Rachael then moved on to push-ups, before rounding out her fitness routine with a balancing exercise which saw her lift one leg high in the air.

A mum whose daughter was running in the same race claimed Rachael's behaviour had a detrimental effect on her child's performance.

The woman told Outspoken podcast hosts Amy, Kate and Sophie Taeuber last month that her daughter felt 'intimidated' by the mummy blogger.

'My daughter was running directly behind her. She was too intimidated to overtake due to the mum yelling and getting in the way,' she said.

The podcast hosts also revealed how former My Kitchen Rules star Ash Pollard rushed to Rachael's defence following the backlash.

They said they shared the video to their Instagram page when Ash tagged Rachael and commented on the post.

Ash accused the podcasters of being 'mean and cruel' and told them to remove the 'opinion piece before they destroyed Rachael's day'.

Ash also claimed it was 'pathetic materiel' and told the the podcasters 'they weren't impacting the world in a positive way'.
