'It's debatable whether I'm a solo artist': Florence Welch questions individual award as she and Rolling Stones walk away with two gongs each at NME Awards
She's fronts a band but Florence Welch still managed to pick up Best Solo Artist as she and The Rolling Stones proved to be the big winners at the NME Awards on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old singer, who also scooped Best Dance Floor Anthem for her track Sweet Nothing with Calvin Harris, questioned her own eligibility for the Solo award.
As she took to the stage to pick up the gong she said: 'I really didn’t expect to get this again, especially because it’s debatable whether I’m a solo artist.'
