Seacrest - who earlier this year worked on the failed Knock Knock - will share executive producer credit on the new series.
Squad Goals will be produced as part of an ongoing overall deal between Seacrest Productions and CBS.
The show's twentysomething subject matter will be the work of thirtysomething screenwriters Lindsey Rosin and Aaron Karo. Squad Goals represents their first major network sale.
Rosin and Karo will join Seacrest in co-exec credits, along with Nina Wass of Seacrest Productions.

Rosin recently directed the LA-based musical adaptation of the 1999 film drama Cruel Intentions.
Karo, a stand-up comic, was the subject of a 2010 Comedy Central special Aaron Karo: The Rest Is History. He also authored the 2012 YA novel Lexapros and Cons, which featured the exploits of an OCD high school student.
Their new series Squad Goals, loosely inspired by the writers' own experiences, is expected to mirror a developing trend among young adults, many of whom have delayed traditional 'growing up' rites well into their thirties.

The company also produces On The Air With Ryan Seacrest, a syndicated morning radio series heard on over 130 stations.
