Fears for 84-year-old Willie Nelson's health as the country legend pulls out of concert after one song
Willie Nelson quickly pulled out of a concert in San Diego Saturday evening after singing one song, prompting concern for the Texas native's well-being.
When he took the stage at Harrah’s Resort SoCal, he commenced singing Whiskey River, but he suffered a coughing fit and shortness of breath from the outset, according to The San Diego Union Tribune, ceased singing and exited the stage.
The On The Road Again singer, 84, is dealing with 'a bad cold or the flu,' and will head back to the Lone Star State to rest up, his rep told the newspaper.

Ticketmaster promptly told fans it was going to refund the costs of tickets and fees.
The singer's son Lukas Autry Nelson, 29, took to Twitter Tuesday to confirm the news that his father would be out of commission, and skip slated shows in Palm Springs and Las Vegas as he rests up.
'Apologies all, Dad has the flu so we cancelled this week’s gigs in Cali and Vegas,' Lukas said, referencing a string of shows scheduled to be held at McCallum Theater in Palm Springs and the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Lukas continued: 'If you have tickets, please contact the venue for a refund and we hope to see you on the road again soon.'
On Twitter, a number of fans extended well-wishes to the famed country crooner.

The singer's rep told the paper that Willie would sit out the shows he had slated for the rest of the month, including a gig at Laughlin, Nevada's Edgewater Hotel Casino. The Stay All Night (Stay a Little Longer) is next primed to hit the stage for a February 7 concert at the Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Georgia.
Nelson was hampered health-wise on a few occasions last year, as he had to nix a show in Salt Lake City, Utah, citing respiratory issues linked to high altitude. He also missed a spattering of shows in February 2017 amid illness.
Amid the occasional health setbacks, Nelson has been touring and releasing records, most notably an outing at September's Texas Strong concert to raise funds in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey; and the October release of Willie's Stash, Vol. 2: Willie Nelson and the Boys, which he made with his sons Lukas and Micah.
