Reviving History: Ford Restores Michigan Central Station After an extensive six-year renovation by Ford Motor Company, Michigan Central unveiled the interior of the renovations to Michigan Central Station’s ground floor. This 30-acre tech and culture hub in Detroit, Michigan Central Station will unite leaders, thinkers, communities, and creators to accelerate bold ideas and technologies shaping the future. “Michigan Central means a great deal to us all. In many ways, this building tells the story of our city,” said Bill Ford, executive chair of Ford. From June 6-16, Ford and Michigan Central will host Michigan Central OPEN, inviting the community to celebrate this historic moment in Detroit’s history. Festivities will kick off with a sold-out show produced by the Emmy-winning Jesse Colling Entertainment, featuring a once-in-a-lifetime lineup of some of Detroit’s biggest stars, including #Eminem, #DianaRoss, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and appearances by local leaders and creators sharing stories of innovation and culture.
