Up close with fast cars and the CEO – Shuban Bhatcar, an engineering intern from Purdue University shares his summer so far! #WeAreFord #FordIntern

Product Development Intern @ Ford Motor Co. | Mechanical Engineering Student at Purdue University

My first few weeks as a Product Development Intern and Social Media Ambassador at Ford Motor Company have been a great experience. Out of several highlights, there are a few that will be hard for me to forget. Having the opportunity to closely examine Ford Performance’s Mustang GT3 race car was amazing. Most people don’t understand the technological and engineering differences between the cars they see on the street and those designed for the race track. Watching the Mustang GT3, along with many other race cars, navigate the streets of Detroit was an exciting way to spend the weekend. The thrills from races like the one I attended are what initially fueled my passion for the automotive world. On the consumer side, I got to experience the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance. It was an eye-opening experience to see how a company that has achieved over a century of success with ICE cars is using what it has learned to advance the electric vehicle. All i’ll say is that if you are in the market for a new Battery Electric Vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E should certainly be towards the top of your list. I am also thrilled to announce that next week, I will have the opportunity to speak with Ford Motor Company CEO, Jim Farley, about the future of the company's products. Despite only a few weeks passing, there has been lots of excitement. I eagerly anticipate sharing the experiences that the remainder of the summer will bring! #WeAreFord #FordIntern #Ford #FordPerformance

Intern season started two months ago and our interns are deep into their projects, but yesterday they left their laptops behind to attend the just-for-fun Intern Marquee event. We were thrilled to host 240 interns at Newlab Detroit @ Michigan Central to sample local eats, design custom Ford ice-cream creations, get cartoonified by caricature artists, win prizes, and dance until the frunk cooler was empty. Keep up the great work and finish strong! Would you like to be part of the fun in 2025? Keep an eye out in early fall for openings. #WeAreFord #FordIntern

It's exciting when a Ford team member's idea turns into reality -- or in this case, mixed reality! Shout out to Alonzo Fischer at Dearborn Engine Plant for putting this training into practice. #WeAreFord #AugmentedReality

When we’re at our best, solutions for improving quality come from all levels of the business. Several years ago, Alonzo Fischer, an hourly employee at Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Engine Plant started exploring cutting-edge solutions to help his colleagues with training and skills development. This led to the implementation of an Augmented Reality (AR) platform for training employees on critical quality-related tasks. This program has already dramatically improved the quality and efficiency of training employees to help us better serve our customers. Already other plants, like Rawsonville Components Plant, have adopted the same technology for their quality training needs. Thanks to Joann Muller of Axios for stopping by Dearborn Engine to demo it for herself! https://lnkd.in/eyT3ZKpC

Product development intern Matthew Nejedlo expected to develop new skills this summer, but didn’t know he’d be adding “talk show host” to his resume. He and fellow intern Sophia Labrador had the opportunity to interview CEO Jim Farley and Chief Data & Analytics Officer Dr. Erica Klampfl in front of a live audience recently, and they nailed it. Great job, Matthew and Sophia! Looking for a summer internship that exceeds your expectations? Join us in 2025! #FordIntern #WeAreFord

🏎️ 💨 Six weeks into my Ford Motor Company summer internship, and WOW! From watching the Mustang GT3 tear up the Detroit Grand Prix to intern networking events, product demos, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers - it's been an incredible ride. So grateful for the opportunity to host an intern fireside chat with CEO Jim Farley and Chief Data & Analytics Officer Dr. Erica Klampfl. Hearing their insights and vision firsthand has profoundly impacted my perspective on the automotive industry and my career aspirations. Grateful for these opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with such an inspiring team. Excited for what's next! 🚀 Special thanks to the university relations team and Brandy Joe Plambeck for organizing this. #FordIntern #WeAreFord

Hello! My name is Bethany Slone and I am a senior at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, studying Cybersecurity and Information Assurance with a concentration in Digital Forensics. This summer, I'm honored to have earned a spot as a #FordIntern with the Manufacturing Cybersecurity team, where we’re working on protecting the Industrial Controls Systems Environment. I adore the problem-solving side of cybersecurity and aspire to work in a cybersecurity role at Ford post-graduation. My favorite moment from this summer as a #FordIntern is most definitely when I had the opportunity to co-host the fireside chat with Bill Ford! Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and weightlifting. Join me on this #InternTuesday as I take over the @FordCareers Instagram stories for a #DayintheLife of a Ford Intern.
