Flood risks loom large over the Lowcountry and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina. Rivers are rising and more thunderstorms are forecast through the weekend, which will bring more rain to regions already saturated from Tropical Storm Debby. The Edisto River is expected to exceed a major flood stage by Saturday, Aug. 10 and stay there through much of next week.
