Crazy stupid waste of time and such a poor non scripted movie. So many descent reviews I read probably written by friends of the 1000 army guys shooting guns for 1 hour and 45 minutes of lost time in my life. Ugh!

too corny and atmospheric for the subject material. mostly meandering self indulgence, don’t imagine it will hold much appeal for anyone not wishing the were still in art school

Honestly the worst movie I've ever seen in a movie theatre. At the end I felt ripped off and wanted my money back. The fighting scenes were done ok,but the plot, storyline, and acting (surprisingly especially from the "stars") were cringworthy.

Top level movie: a sad, simple, shining cautionary story of intolerance and stupid violence. Easily, next Oscar winner.

A very stupid movie. It doesn’t achieve what it sets out to do. It doesn’t give you a real feel of what a civil war would be like to the average person and it doesn’t tell a compelling story either. Rewatching an episode of Friends for the 18th time will be more entertaining. ‘Terribly boring’ if I had to sum it up in 2 words.

This film was not that bad but it worth to watch on the action and war against their own nation of America that happening on what they do for photojournalist.

Great concept and solid performances but the film is overly symbolic with very little actual humanity. What could have been a deep emotional dive into a real analysis of what breaks a nation apart is unfortunately bland, leaves everything wide open and no real meat on the bone. It could be a war zone anywhere in the world and the journalists could be in any situation.

This flick grabs your attention and never loosens the grip till credits roll. It's apocalypse without dead people walking around but even more scarier. Yes we have seen democratic fallacies being exposed but the movie attacks the concept of essential violence and that's admirable. Reasonable venture into the journalism in war zones. Remarkable visuals and special effects with sounds of war signals the unrest that keeps the audience even more hooked. Great work by the cast and special group of charcters. Civil War would be one of the best and imaginative works of 2024. It's war in least expected grounds.

I feel like the pieces were there but this just felt off. Too rushed. Didn’t like the protagonists.

Tried too hard. Couldn't achieve surreal, so it landed on unbelievable. Kept asking, "What's the plot again?"

I actually created a Rotten Tomato account to review this film. Without a doubt, Civil War is a study in vapid war porn. Every actor demeaned themselves, and their craft, by participating in this glorification of pointless violence. By contrast, in movies such as Saving Private Ryan and The Last of the Mohicans, some degree of violence was necessary to tell a larger story. In Civil War, violence is the story.

Somehow managed to make a modern day US civil war boring and barely feel like it was in the US. Unless you're really into war photography it's pretty much a waste if time.

Incredibly immersive, this film placed me right in the middle of the war. It is an intensely gripping experience that highlights the brutality of war and the harrowing reality of what it would be like if it occurred in your own country.

Highly unsettling and thought provoking. We've become used to a dominant and stable US. But the movie gives an idea of what if the country falls into Civil war. What the viewer is left with, is what caused this situation? How's the rest of the world doing? Quite scary.

Another A24 film that is a waste of time and stupid ending. Dumb plot and bad acting

Not sure how this movie could have been worse. Zero continuity, lots of green screens and cheesy sets, screens shot like an old 70s Dr Who, and acting that came across like 1st year acting class.
