FH Furr, Lennox, Costco - dishonest businesses

FH Furr, Lennox & Costco would not honor their 10 years warranty. I got the very expensive Lennox HVAC via Costco that was installed by FH Furr. The product was a lemon that broke down on the first week of installation & over the course of 6 yrs. When wanting to claim the 10 yrs warranty they said an annual maintenance was required, which was never communicated before. Also, I found online that the product has a coil failure law sue in the past.

lennox air conditioner motor seizes after 3 years

had 3 year old lennox air conditioner maintenance on 5/9/24. motor was siezed in less than 3 years. i'm still waiting for my hvac service to received a new motor from another city in my state. my hvac service would charge me $250 to put in a temporary motor until the new lennox motor arrives. this is a charge lennox should be responsible for & absorb. the unit is still under warranty BUT i still have NO air conditioning after having a new unit for less than 3 years. i refuse to pay $250 in the meantime for lennox's failure as a company. i have no firm date as to when i will have a working air conditioning system again.

Incredibily BAD.

Incredibily BAD.
Just a simple mistake and they "try to sell" an intervention of their technicians.
NO technical information can be gotten by them in BeNeLux.
I highly recommend to buy somewhere else.
If this is their way of "SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS" one good advice: turn the page.

Shoddy Product, Fake Customer Service

Our furnace stopped working on a cold day, so I called the HVAC contactor that installed the unit during new construction 18 months ago. The service tech found that a pressure switch wire had disconnected and wrapped around the inducer motor. When asked how that could happen when the unit has never been opened or serviced, I was told that the only explanation was "poor workmanship" at the point of assembly. The wire was reconnected, and I paid the $225 service call. I contacted Lennox several times by email and phone about splitting the cost of repair only to receive the run around and finally a denial based on a warranty technicality argument. I now will pursue small claims court action with the support of the installation contractor. Junk product, fake customer service!

Purchased a home in July

Purchased a home in July, 2023 that is three years old. I’ve had to replace coils already twice now in this home. Lennox will not re-imburse me for refrigerant nor offer to have their unit inspected to fix the root of the problem. To my knowledge the previous owners had to replace coils as well. This should not be happening in a unit three years old. I’m already out thousands of dollars and cannot get anyone to off set the cost of their faulty system.

disaapointing warranty with Lennox

Installed new Lennox HVAC in Aug 2016. icomfort wif thermostat (Lennox's own thermostat) screen went blue and no longer works. Call lennox and they told me tough luck as out of warranty after 5 years. Looking online, many people across the country had the same issue. New thermstat is $800 - this is unacceptable.

NEVER BUY A LENNOX

NEVER BUY A LENNOX. After installing a CX20 system in 2015 we've had to replace the Thermostat, the fan, and now the evaporator coils. Just go to Home Depot and buy window units. Save the headache and the money. The response from Lennox was sympathy. They were very sorry their products keep breaking and I had to pay thousands of dollars in labor costs to replace parts under warranty. Do your research and buy something else. Lennox manufactures subpar products.

Actually O stars

Actually O stars. For our new custom built home we made a big mistake and didn't check reviews AND PAID DEARLY. Spent thousands of $$$$$$ to upgrade Lennox so called high efficiency models, only to experience constant failures year after year. Spent about $12,000 in the first 11 years on repairs/replacements ABOVE what was covered in Lennon warranty. SOME SAVINGS IN ENERGY COST? DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF CHOOSING LENNOX FOR AIR & HEAT.

Lennox - Poor Product Support

I installed a Lennox air conditioner a little over a year ago, but the compressor has now failed. Even though this unit is under warranty, and still manufactured, it will take 5-6 weeks to get a replacement. I live in Miami, and the temperature is in the mid to upper 80's. This is very poor product service from Lennox, leaving their customer hot and uncomfortable. Lennox should support the products they sell.

Lennox ghosting and never calling back when promised.

My HVAC rep entered my rebate info incorrectly and Lennox rebate customer service although kind over the phone and willing to"expedite" my several requests from me via several phone calls, online forms and having my HVAC rep call his Lennox rep, to correct the info. No one from Lennox has ever called me back as promised within 48 hours in any instance. I am not able to log in to see my rebate status and the address is incorrect. Lennox has managed to provide exceptionally poor customer care in failure to follow through.

Do not buy Lennox HVAC products

Spent close to 18k in replacing my entire HVAC system to bring it up to code with CA low nox standards. There were some issues early on but easily solved by the techs. The system is now 2.5 years old and I have had no heat in my home since October. The Lexxox rep in my area will not come out until every part in both furnaces has been replaced by the techs. The last of the parts were replaced last week and it was at that time I was informed by the techs that the Lennox rep was busy and may not be able to make a visit to inspect this situation until after the holidays and he won't specify if by holidays he means Christmas or New Years.

Zero star

We got Lennox Heater and Air Conditioner in less than 2 years. Based on the contract, labor and parts are free of coverage. The coil leaks and all the refrigent gone. The Lennox dealer said they will replace the coil and only covers 3 lbs of refrigent but the coild needs over 7 lbs refrigent in total. I contacted Lennox by email and their customer service rep emailed me back and told me that Lennox only covers the parts, not the refrigent.
My question is, the product has issue and caused the failure. Why Lennox customers have to pay for the cost, even everything is under warranty.
For those who are looking for Heater and/or Air Conditioner product, be careful of Lennox products. Their warranty is kind of no warranty.
If there is zero star, I'll select it.

I bought a Lennox air conditioner in…

I bought a Lennox air conditioner in 2021 and at 2 years the compressor went out. The bad thing about the dealers is that they call Lennox to get approval on a warranty claim and then they have to wait for Lennox to call back the same goes for finding a unit to replace. They don't do this for cars. Waiting for approval on a claim. How absurd. I've had Lennox previously and it worked great for 20 years but I will never buy LLennox again as I think their whole process of building and servicing has changed. Like everything else it is manufactured in China and made cheaply. Service attitudes are terrible and non-responsive. All of the makers are bad and Lennox is supposed to be the best of the worst. Read reviews before you buy and then pick your poison.

Do Not use Lennox

As a field tech and a company owner ,I must say lennox has the worst customer service both in person and on the phone . I've had problems with their method for years and I'm sure we are not alone ,today I decided to write :
parts are mostly out of stock and reps are always frustrated for obvious reasons ,
phone calls takes forever to be answered, It's not acceptable to hold homeowners or the techs on the phone for over an hour before answering the calls.
there seem to be only 1 or 2 tech support on the phone which explains the long hold times and when they finally answer with frustration they have no answer for some of the questions especially with the newer units and accessories.
not enough data and info in manuals adds to this mess.

maybe try learning from successful company in client service.
its been 58 min till this very moment that I'm on hold for tech support .

I'm going to switch to Daikin, rather work with normal unit with an excellent client service over a more expensive but disrespectful, disappointing badge
I'm pretty sure my clients will enjoy the real warranty and support and constantly available parts .

Lennox trust issues

Lennox. They play games. Simply trying to look up a serial number and you have to jump hoops to even get that far. That immediately raises a lot of red flags. No reason for this. No wonder I see so many bad reviews

bad service

After getting the run around from Lennox customer service, I wrote an email to Todd M Bluedorn CEO. Maria Sandor responded on behalf of Todd to the email I sent asking for assistance. Maria asked me to contact the dealer to determine the exact cause of failure. The dealer wrote an estimate for repair and determined the cause of failure was a defective part, which I forwarded to Maria. Once Maria saw this she stopped communication with me and the dealer as well. I keep calling the technician but they have not heard from Lennox.

Best advice: .AVOID LENNOX

OH, and the cherry on top, a new thermostat to replace the defective one: $2,000

OK, I've had enough....spent $16K on two units only to have to deal with these thermostat "PATCHES" every 3-6 months. FOR past 7 + yrs.!!!

Why wasn't I offered an option to replace and get the new thermostats???????????????? 5 yr warranty on old thermostats, 10 yr. on new....

Again, 90 degrees in Austin... no AC called Lennox 3 times spoke to 4 nice employees (about to call a fourth time)... 3 calls to local repairmen.

Don’t buy Lennox , worst customer service EVER

I had my Lennox for eight years , then the evaporator coil stop working . Call tech to check , gladly was under Warrenty however the part is not available nation wide . When you call Lennox customer affairs and waited for hour and half the usual answer is NO ETA , “I am sorry but we don’t know when the part is ready” , or call your tech to provide you some info . Unfortunately , no direct answer to the customer and no alternative option to help . When you ask to replace the unit , the answer is WE are working on your par so when you ask when is ready , the answer is WE don’t know . Calling Lennox is just a waste of time , also when you compliant to a manager ( Manager is always not available) , you get directed to voice message and they never call you . It is the worst service I have EVER encountered . Currently waiting for my part it could take from 3 weeks to 3 month . Explained to them I have medical condition but no understandable response . I have notice they have bad history on coils but NO great handling or reaching to customers for notifications about those issues . Don’t call customer service b/c will get nothing , or they will say call your tech for details . So when you call the tech no info from Lennox to the tech . Huge gab in communications . I will do more research about the law suite on coils to find out if I can do the same after reaching to a lawyer .

I bought two Cadillac models, BUT

I bought two Cadillac models. I observed the heat pump even works at 14* with no aux. electric heat assist. I was so amazed that I called the service people the next day and they said yes, the units you bought are that good. I got them both for 15k installed after the 3k rebate. But, but, but, a panel went and later my high tech thermostat went after 2 years but both were under warranty. With Lennox this means no cost for the units but you are on your own for the labor. The free panel and free thermostat were $278.00 each to get installed at two different times. I sent Lennox a letter stating they owed me $556.00. I am still waiting for the check. They didn't even send me a letter of apology. So much for their service. I later found out that a local installer is dropping Lennox because of their lousy service policies. I would have given Lennox 5 stars if they covered labor for their warranted items.
