Sam Mendes and the team behind Spectre want James Bond’s latest adventure to feel as real and visceral as possible — no tsunami surfing in sight, it seems — and the film’s latest behind-the-scenes video shows the lengths they’re going to ensure it.

“The philosophy of the Bond franchise and mine particularly as a filmmaker is to do things for real, so you have to roll up your sleeves and work it out,” Mendes says in the latest peak behind the curtain. The video emphasizes the practicality of the special effects — though they certainly strive to note how big an impact special-effects work will have to enhance the real-world efforts.

The video takes viewers to Austria, Mexico, and Morocco to detail the chases, explosions, and rooftop hopping that star Daniel Craig and the rest of the cast and crew partake in to deliver the big setpieces for Bond’s upcoming adventure.

Spectre, with Sam Smith performing the latest Bond theme, hits theaters on Nov. 6. For more, watch the latest teaser and read more from Daniel Craig about his take on Bond.
