In a video that has quickly racked up well over 200,000 views, the ghost hunter confessed he had always been tempted to give hot cross buns a go.

He tells followers: 'As an American I always heard about hot cross buns  but I have never had one, well today that changes.'

Confused by myriad of buttons on his British oven, Kalani nearly steamed his sweet treat by mistake.

Cutting the two buns in half, he placed a healthy dose of butter on each before placing them in the oven.

As he placed them in the oven he jokingly said: 'This may be the wrong way to do to it but I am always screwing up.'

Taking the baked goods drowned in butter out of the oven, he added: 'These look actually really yummy.'

Taking a bite, Kalani gave them a score of 9.5 out of 10.

'These little devils are good you can definitely taste the blueberry and the lemon, It's definitely a dessert role,' he said.

But Brits were less concerned about his opinions and more taken aback by how he decided to heat up the delicious hot cross buns.

'The whole nation was screaming “toaster” at you,' one fan wrote.

'Can we make him try these again but the correct way,' a second Brit said.

'What in god's name is happening here,' a third exclaimed in horror.

'Dude. Cut them in half, toast them, then let the butter melt into them. That’s how we do it,' another advised.

A follower added: 'Normal hot cross buns and use the toaster. It was right there.'

'Now just imagine how good they would be if you made them properly,' one joked.
