Dr. Waqqas captioned the clip: 'Five things I recommend to prevent cancer.'

He begins: 'Here are five things I would never do as a cancer doctor. Number one, smoking tobacco.'

'Using any tobacco product and vaping is all carcinogenic,' he added. Carcinogenic means that something has the potential to cause cancer.

He added: 'It causes harder build up in your lungs, which causes tissue damage to the lungs and that can also cause cancer.'

The second thing the doctor recommended you avoid was alcohol.

'Any level, even one glass of red wine at dinner is carcinogenic,' he said.

Dr. Waqqas also suggested not consuming any red or deli meats because the act of 'salting, curing and smoking' them exposes you to more risk of the disease.

His fourth tip was to always wear sunscreen.

'You need to cover your face, neck, back of your neck, hands, arms, and anything that's exposed to the sun,' he explained.

The oncologist then suggested people try their hardest to prevent obesity.

He said: 'If you are overweight, you have a higher risk of cancer. So, you need to do a vigorous exercise - 150 minutes a week. If that's not enough, you have to consider other options like weight-loss drugs.'

At the end of the clip, the health pro urged his followers to get preventative screening tests such as colonoscopies for colon cancer and mammograms for breast cancer.

People flooded the comments section and praised the doctor for his advice.

One person said: 'Thank you so much for mentioning sunscreen! As a skin cancer survivor I get so frustrated with those trying to discourage wearing it! I have the scars to prove otherwise!'

Another user added: 'It's all about genes.'

Someone else wrote: 'Thank you so much for your advice.'

'I follow all this advice except for the alcohol. I do drink some,' a fourth person typed.
