Aussies are left divided over beauty brand's Bondi beach 'glow up': Here's why

An Australian beauty brand has given an iconic location in Bondi Beach 'a glow up' to promote a range of hydrating supplements with an activation and a digital takeover. 

Swisse Beauty took over Bondi Icebergs, giving the famous pool a makeover to celebrate its Glow range, a series of products that aim to improve skin hydration. 

The Swisse Beauty Glow products include ingestible powders, gummiessupplements and a serum, that include nourishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid and marine collagen to help boost skin moisture. 

And given we are in the middle of winter with cooler temperatures and heating playing havoc on the complexion of many, there has never been a better time to be reminded of the importance of paying attention to the hydration of your skin.

While the real-life activation turned heads in Bondi, a digital recreation of the scene was posted to socials and it has left Aussies divided.

In the clever GCI video a large bottle of Swisse Beauty Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Booster supplements is seen perching on the roof of the incredible location. 

It falls into the pool creating a splash and a sunny, glowing day club is revealed.  

One viewer said:'Marketing girly slayed on this one.' 

Another posted: 'Wow that’s amazing.'

But one user said: 'Thought this was real got a bit panicked.' 

Another person who didn't seem to understand the digital concept said: 'Hmm more plastic in the ocean. lovely.' 

This isn't the first time that Swisse have been bold with its marketing, earlier this year the brand signed on social media duo The Inspired Unemployed

It didn't last long, as the famous duo decided that an office job wasn't for them.
