Conor Gallagher and a couple of his England team-mates looked back on old clips ahead of Euro 2024 - which led to a choice comment from Jordan Henderson.

Gallagher and Henderson were joined on the sofa by Ben Chilwell, with former Three Lions star Daniel Sturridge overseeing proceedings, and encouraging the trio to comment on moments from previous England games.

However, Henderson did not think much of a long-ball assist by his former Liverpool team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold which set up Bukayo Saka for a goal against North Macedonia.

In a promotional video for England sponsors LG, the players were shown Alexander-Arnold's long ball forward, which the Arsenal man collected and dispatched - but Henderson thought it was purely accidental.

Henderson said: 'To be fair I think he's just kicked it up, I don't think he's seen Bukayo, I think he just hoofed it. He was getting pressed and he thought "I'll just gamble".'

When watching Harry Kane's goal in England's 3-1 win over Italy, Henderson hailed the captain's 'nice touch' to run with the ball towards the net.

Chilwell added 'That's a No. 9 goal, innit?', to which Sturridge replied 'Yeah'.

Both Henderson and Chilwell were left out of Gareth Southgate's extended squad ahead of this summer's Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.

But Chelsea midfielder Gallagher is relishing the prospect of doing battle with Europe’s best teams this summer, and adding to his 12 England caps.

The 24-year-old said: 'I’m buzzing for this summer - it’s an honour to play for England and to be at a major tournament is incredible. Hopefully I can play my part as well.

'I just want to be part of the squad, be there and feel a part of it. We have a talented young squad with so many talented players, so it’s a really exciting time for England. I’m really looking forward to it.'

Former England striker and pundit Sturridge, who earned 26 national team caps between 2011 and 2017, showed the clips on a new LG OLED TV, and hailed the picture quality as 'next level, sensational'.

He added: 'It was always an amazing experience playing for England, living the dream and giving it my all for the national team.

'It was always something you dreamed of doing and you don’t know if it would be possible – you watch games on TV as a kid and you feel excited with all these people watching. When I was a kid, we used to watch on TV a lot – it was a huge honour to represent England and I’m really grateful for my time playing in a Three Lions shirt.'
