After his best season yet, Phil Foden has proved he is not just a winner on the pitch but in the waters too as he reeled in a big fish during a family holiday in Spain.

The Premier League Player of the Season enjoyed his brief stint away from the spotlight by fishing in sun soaked Marbella.

Foden, 24, was away with his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke, who is pregnant with the couple's third child, his children, and other members of his family, taking time away from the turf before Euro 2024 this summer.

Fans watched on as the attacking midfielder perched himself on the end of a yacht and through a line into the water.

And the Manchester City and England star - known to be a lover of catching fish -  was successful, topping off his trip by hooking in a large one with his younger brother, Logan.

It's not the first time fans have seen Foden reel in a big one, in 2018 he posted pictures of him with a huge catfish to Instagram.

18 years old at the time, the then starlet was not part of the Three Lions set up like he is now, and sat out the World Cup hosted in Russia by fishing.

This time, though, Foden could only manage a hurried holiday, and fans did not get a glimpse on social media.

The only way to catch a glance of the City star fishing was by watching on in person, which many did when they clocked the player.

However, Foden has now left Marbella to join his England teammates as they prepare for the Euros in Germany, and he will be hoping the Three lions rod can catch the trophy come July.

Foden was a force to be reckoned with as City clinched a fourth successive Premier League title, driving them there by netting 19 goals in the top-flight, as well as providing eight assists.

Not to mention, the Citizens' maestro also raked in two individual accolades as his sixth league title at his boyhood club.

Gareth Southgate and Co will be counting on Foden to deliver the same performances that he did in club football, for his country, as they aim to go one step further than they did three years ago - losing the final to Italy.

The Three Lions will find out what sort of shape he is following his trip to Marbella when they face Iceland in their their final warm-up friendly on Friday.
